Open a business in the food service industry with a portable sink.

When I realized that I had a real knack for cooking and catering events, I decided to sit down and write a plan to open my own business. I took a couple of classes at the community college and realized that there were many state regulations I’d have to adhere to, especially with regard to food safety and sanitation. So one of the first things I started doing research on was portable sinks. I knew that if I were going to specialize in catering location events, such as picnics, post-ball game barbecues and other types of outdoor celebrations, I’d need a portable sink to ensure we could follow proper procedures. Although portable sinks may be a bit pricey, they are well worth the investment, since you now can concentrate on the most important part of the creative process, which is cooking and serving the food. All of my employees must cover their hair and wear sanitized uniforms. Having the ability to have hot and cold running water to wash your hands and clean serving utensils is a Godsend. I’ve been running my business for almost two years now, and I’ve never been in violation of any of our state food safety or sanitation regulations, either.
